Come to a special Friday morning library story time: kitchen garden edition--tomorrow!
We'll be reading garden-themed books in the garden from 8:45-9 am. After that we'll head over to the library so families can check out books. Please join us! The kitchen garden is easily accessed off of Calle Noguera.
Also, two shout-outs from this week:
First, congrats to 5th graders, Ximena Garcia and Vanessa Dimas Ibarra, for competing in the 2nd Annual Batalla de los Libros. Both girls read a long selection of books in Spanish throughout the year and competed for Peabody in a friendly competition. We are so proud of both of our bilingual students!
Second, kinder-second graders had the chance to hear local kids book author Mike Bender read his newest title, "Bored Panda," this week, about a Panda who learns that getting off his screen and into nature isn't actually boring AT ALL! If your student missed it, there will be a reading and book signing this Saturday at 3 pm at Chaucer's.
