Peabody partners with the UCSB Teacher Preparation Program
to create a “Project School”. An on-site supervisor
works collaboratively with Peabody teachers to provide pre-professional
training to 15 student teachers. UCSB instructors have helped
facilitate teacher in-service days at Peabody, and Peabody
teachers have worked with UCSB instructors and student teachers
on the university campus.
Santa
Barbara Museum of Natural History:
In 2002 the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History partnered
with Peabody by sharing their scientists, artists, and curators
to create a unique partnership in which student assist museum
with projects including, video production, archeological excavation,
and designing displays for the museum’s collection.
