During a time when schools have decreased art instruction, Peabody Charter School has implemented a well-rounded and exciting visual and performing arts program. For seven years the school has funded a number of “Artists in Residence” through community donations and school fund raising. We have art specialists in the areas of fine art, ceramics, choral music, instrumental music, drama, and computer graphics.

Students participate in approximately 40 arts lessons each year. This includes classroom lessons taught by art specialists as well as one half day each month per grade level where classrooms rotate through various visual and performing arts areas. Students have additional opportunities to choose elective classes on Fridays before our “late-start” school begins. A number of classes are offered including ceramics, chorus, instrumental music, drama, set/stage production, and drawing.
